Kitchen Remodel in Orlando Without Gutting the House
Most people who call us about a kitchen remodel in Orlando want the same thing: cabinets that are not from 1998, a countertop that is not laminate, and hardware that does not stick. What they do not want is six weeks of dust, permits, and a kitchen in the garage. That is a cabinet-only kitchen remodel, and it is what Inka Installation does all day: the old cabinets come out, new cabinets, countertop, hardware and trim go in, and the sink, stove, dishwasher, walls and floor stay exactly where they are. Two to five days, not two months.
We install any brand — IKEA SEKTION, Home Depot and Lowe's cabinets, RTA boxes ordered online, or semi-custom lines we supply at dealer pricing — and we have done it in hundreds of Central Florida kitchens, from Windermere to Kissimmee. 5.0 stars on Google, 60 reviews.

What a Cabinet-Only Kitchen Remodel Includes
- Demo and haul-away of the old cabinets and countertop, floors and adjacent rooms protected
- Cabinet installation, any brand — level, plumb, scribed to out-of-square walls, uppers hung on solid blocking, fillers and panels cut on site
- Island and peninsula installation where the floor and power already allow it
- Countertop coordination — cabinets prepped for template, sink cut-out and fabricator scheduled; butcher block we cut and fit ourselves
- Hardware, trim and crown — pulls drilled with a jig, toe kicks, light rail, crown moulding, end panels
- Under-cabinet lighting (plug-in or low-voltage) and pull-outs, lazy susans, trash pull-outs
- Sink and dishwasher reconnected in the same location; anything that moves gets a licensed plumber or electrician, quoted separately and up front
Cabinet-Only Kitchen Remodel Cost in Orlando
Three numbers make up the price, and we show them on separate lines so you can move each one:
- Installation: $75–$150 per linear foot of cabinet; IKEA SEKTION kitchens from $2,500. See the full breakdown on our cabinet installation cost page.
- Cabinets: you buy (IKEA, Home Depot, Lowe's, RTA) or we supply semi-custom lines at dealer pricing — see kitchen cabinets Orlando for 10×10 ranges by line.
- Countertop: quartz or granite through our fabricator partner, or butcher block that we cut and install ourselves.
A typical 10×10 Orlando kitchen done cabinet-only lands well under half of what the same kitchen costs as a gut renovation, and it is finished the same week it starts.
How It Goes, Day by Day
- Before: we measure the kitchen (or work from your IKEA plan), confirm the cabinets fit the walls and appliances, and give you a written line-item estimate. Cabinets get ordered only after that.
- Day 1: old cabinets and top out, walls checked and patched where needed, layout lines snapped on the wall.
- Day 2: uppers and bases installed, island set, fillers and panels cut. Countertop template happens the same day or next.
- Day 3–5 (after the top is in): sink and dishwasher reconnected in place, hardware, crown, toe kicks, lighting, doors and drawers adjusted. Final walkthrough with you.
When Cabinet-Only Is Not Enough
If you need to move the sink, open a wall, add a full-size island with power, or replace the floor under the cabinets, that is a real renovation and it needs permits and licensed trades. We will tell you that on the first visit instead of selling you the small version. We can then work under your general contractor for the cabinet side, or refer plumbing, electrical and tile partners we have worked with in Orlando.
Why Homeowners Pick Inka for the Cabinet-Only Route

Cabinet-Only Kitchen Remodel FAQ
What Orlando homeowners ask before choosing the cabinet-only route.
What is a cabinet-only kitchen remodel?
It is the kitchen remodel most Orlando homes actually need: the old cabinets come out, new cabinets, countertops, hardware and trim go in, and the sink, stove, dishwasher, walls and floor stay exactly where they are. Because nothing structural, plumbing or electrical moves, it takes 2–5 days instead of 4–8 weeks and typically costs about a third of a full renovation.
How much does a cabinet-only kitchen remodel cost in Orlando?
Installation runs $75–$150 per linear foot of cabinet, and an IKEA kitchen install starts around $2,500. Add the cabinets themselves (stock, IKEA, semi-custom or custom — we can supply them at dealer pricing) and a countertop, and most Orlando cabinet-only remodels land well under half of a full renovation. We give a written line-item estimate after measuring, free.
How long does it take?
Two to five working days for a typical 10×10 to 12×14 kitchen: demo and cabinet install on days 1–2, countertop template, then hardware, trim and final adjustments once the top is in. Countertop fabrication (usually 5–10 business days) is the only wait, and you keep the old top until the new one is ready.
Do I need a permit for a cabinet-only remodel in Orlando?
When the sink, appliances and outlets stay where they are, replacing cabinets and countertops is like-for-like work and typically does not require a building permit in Orange, Seminole or Osceola counties. If you want to move the sink or add an island with power, that becomes plumbing/electrical work — we tell you up front and bring in the licensed trade.
Do you do full kitchen remodels with plumbing, electrical and flooring?
We do the cabinet and carpentry side — that is what we are best at. For a full gut renovation we can work under your general contractor or refer trusted plumbing, electrical and tile partners. Most homeowners who call about a “kitchen remodel” find the cabinet-only version gets them the kitchen they pictured without the permits, dust and weeks of a gut job.
Can I buy the cabinets myself?
Yes — IKEA, Home Depot, Lowe's, RTA online or a cabinet shop; you buy, we install. Or we supply semi-custom cabinets at dealer pricing on a separate line from the labor, so you see both numbers. Either way we measure before anything is ordered.
Can I use my kitchen during the remodel?
Days 1–2 the kitchen is out of service (we set the fridge and microwave up in the next room). Once the base cabinets are in you get the sink back on the old or a temporary top until the new countertop arrives.
